Fridays at Pride Rock Model School are special! Unlike other weekdays, pupils do not wear their regular uniforms—instead, they come in neat, casual outfits that set the tone for a more relaxed and creative learning environment. Exploratory Friday is designed to help children develop important life and social skills outside the traditional classroom setting. Pupils engage in activities that encourage teamwork, negotiation, play, and healthy social interactions. They also participate in fun sports and games that nurture the spirit of sportsmanship, cooperation, and fair play.

Simulated Local Market Interactions

To bring real-life learning into the classroom, pupils take part in Simulated Market Interaction—a lively activity where the school sets up a mini-market environment. Children role-play as buyers, sellers, and service providers, using play money and everyday goods to mimic the activities of a real marketplace. This exercise teaches pupils important skills such as basic arithmetic, money management, communication, and negotiation. They also learn the values of honesty, teamwork, and fairness in trade. By practicing in a safe, fun setting, pupils gain confidence that prepares them for real-world situations. Simulated Market Interaction makes learning practical and enjoyable while instilling entrepreneurial thinking and social confidence in every child.

Local Market Interactions

As part of our practical learning experiences, pupils participate in Local Market Interaction—a fun and educative outing where they visit nearby markets to observe and practice real-life skills. During the activity, children learn how buying and selling works, interact with traders, and practice basic money management like addition, subtraction, and making change. They also develop confidence in communication, negotiation, and social interaction while exploring the vibrant marketplace. This experience helps pupils connect classroom knowledge with everyday life, teaching them the value of money, respect for community workers, and the importance of honesty in business. Children’s Day Mask Party at Pride Rock Model School

Children’s Day is always a special celebration, and this year it was even more exciting with our colorful Mask Party! Pupils came dressed in creative masks—ranging from superheroes and animals to sparkling designs they made themselves. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and fun activities as children showed off their masks, danced, and enjoyed the day with their friends. The Mask Party wasn’t just about fun—it was also a chance for pupils to express creativity, build confidence, and celebrate the joy of childhood. It was a memorable event that reminded everyone that Children’s Day is truly about happiness, imagination, and togetherness.

Sports Competitions and Karate at Pride Rock Model School

At Pride Rock Model School, sports are more than just games—they are a way of building strength, teamwork, and discipline. Pupils actively participate in sports competitions such as football, athletics, basketball, and relay races, where they learn the values of teamwork, healthy rivalry, and sportsmanship. These events create excitement and unity, while also helping pupils stay active and healthy. Alongside traditional sports, we also offer Karate training, which teaches pupils focus, discipline, self-control, and respect. Karate helps build confidence and resilience while promoting physical fitness and mental alertness. Pupils enjoy learning different techniques and proudly display their skills during inter-house competitions and special events.

Social studies - Practical lessons on heroes and heroines

Pride Rock Model School recently held an exciting Social Studies event dedicated to celebrating heroes and heroines. Pupils came dressed as famous leaders, community builders and everyday role models, proudly showcasing their chosen figures. Each child had the opportunity to present short speeches, dramatizations, or storytelling about the lives and values of these heroes. The event was interactive and engaging, filled with role-play, poetry, and performances that highlighted the courage, service, and contributions of great men and women in history. It was not only colorful and fun, but also deeply educational, as pupils learned the importance of bravery, honesty, patriotism, and compassion. Through this practical lesson, the children saw that heroes are not only people in history books—they can also be role models in our families, schools, and communities. The event left every pupil inspired to live with purpose and contribute positively to society.
